pexidartinib hydrochloride

A drug used to treat tenosynovial giant cell tumor (a rare, usually benign tumor that affects the joints). It is used in adults who have a severe form of the disease that is not likely to get better with surgery. It is also being studied in the treatment of some types of cancer and other conditions. Pexidartinib hydrochloride blocks certain proteins, which may help keep tumor cells from growing and spreading. It is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Also called Turalio.
