Lonsurf

A combination of the drugs trifluridine and tipiracil hydrochloride used to treat stomach cancer and gastroesophageal junction cancer that have spread to other parts of the body and have already been treated with at least two other types of anticancer drugs. It is also used to treat colorectal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and has already been treated with other anticancer drugs and a biological therapy. Lonsurf is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Lonsurf stops cells from making DNA, which may help keep cancer cells from growing and may kill them. Also called trifluridine and tipiracil hydrochloride.
