lomustine

A drug used to treat brain tumors that have already been treated with surgery or radiation therapy. It is also used to treat Hodgkin lymphoma that has not gotten better with other types of treatment or has come back. It is being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Lomustine damages the cell’s DNA and may kill cancer cells. It is a type of alkylating agent. Also called CCNU and Gleostine.
