Daman: The health authorities in Daman raided three clinics allegedly run by quacks and seized medicines, intravenous fluids, and other materials.
The Daman health authorities along with the Daman police conducted the surprise check under the Clinical Establishment Act, 2010. The search was conducted following numerous complaints against the quacks who were operating in Daman.
The doctors were found to be practicing without renewing their licenses under the rules of the central health department and investigations are on to verify their documents.
Director of Daman health care department Dr.V.K Das said that the papers are being examined and if any person is found to be impersonating as doctors, then they would be arrested. The names of the doctors were not revealed as the matter is under investigation.
